This will be worth five points: (answer the each of the following)
1. If you had to do the cell project over again, what would you do differently?
2. If you were giving advice to someone that has my class for next year, what could you tell them to do to get the best grade possible on the cell project?
3. List at least three things that you will never forget about cells after doing this project. Include why you will never forget them.

1. If i had to do this project over again i would probably not make my models out of any sort of food project.
2. For any students next year i would say to realy think outside of the box and to use things that they found arund the house and not to buy to many things. I would also say that on the creative section they should really let go. 3. i will never forget most of the organelles, will never forget their function, and i will never forget the differences between the animal cell and the lant cell
1. I would definitely not wait to the last minute on this project.
2. Do the plant cell!!! Do the plant cell and include the extra organelles. These bonus points could be the difference between an a and b. Oh and I would use knox jello as the cytoplasm because it worked very well.
3. Cytoplasm- Because using the jello was a challenge
Mitochondria- Because it is just an organelle that rocks
Nucleus- Because it is like the boss of the cell which reminds me of Mr. Trump. Oh and because Ms. Bock is a great biology teacher!!! ;}
If I had to do this project again, I would probably use a glue gun instead of tape...oops. This would hold the organelles on better than aything.
Some advice for people that are going to do this project
a) don't waste time.
b) get everything you need first and don't start
without the things that you need
c) get organized and keep everything together
This project will never be forgotten. I think it was challenging & fun. Putting the cell models together was the best part. Presenting the project was pretty great too. It helped me learn a lot. The one thing that will haunt me for the rest of my life would be my video because it was the most embarrasing thing I have ever done.
xD
1. If I had to do the cell project over again my group would never make a cell out of jello again, because it falls apart easily.
2. I would tell them to take there time and be neat and start working on your project as soon as you know when its do, because it takes a long time to get it all finished.
3. I will never forget that the nucleus controls the cell, because it acts as a boss like Donald Trump and I found this out from the cell project.
I will never forget what the golgi apparatus does, because it acts like a UPS truck processing and packaging substances produced by the cell.
The last thing that I will never forget about cells after doing this project is that the cell wall holds the cell together and protects the cell. I will never forget this, because the cell wall is like the walls inside my house, it holds my house together.
If i had to do this project again, I'd definitely make my model much bigger and i would start much earlier so i could make my model even bigger!
If I had to give advice to someone for this project, I'd tell them that if they're going to do a model out of food, DON'T USE LUNCH MEAT! and huge tip, use a gingerbread house kit, for your organelles, they are meant to stay good and not rot. lol
2 things that i wont forget about cells, is definitely all of the organelles they practically lodged into my brain, and i will never forget what each organelle' function because i even have a rap to remind me :]
1. If i were to ever do a cell project again, i would have tried to make my presentation more creative and exciting.
2.I would tell them to be as creative as possible and don't be afraid to do something crazy for your presentation. Try not to spend alot of money because you can find many great things just laying around your house. Basically just have fun with it!!
3.There's alot of things that i will remember from doing this project, like,
a)The cell wall is what protects the cell and holds everything together. It acts like the exterior walls of our school because the walls hold everything inside and is protecting.
b)The nucleus is like the command center of a cell, because it tells the cell what to do and it has all the information that is needed.
c) The vacuoles in plant cells are bigger than in animal cells. and plants have only one while the animal cells have more than one.
I will never forget them because of the analogies we did on our posters!! :]
1.I would have made a power point also to explain all the organelles. With pictures of the organelles next to the description.
2.Don't use jello on your project unless they are absolutely sure it will stay together. Also make sure if you do use jello make sure you have some were cool to store it.
3.That the golgi apparatus sends things out like a ups. That cells have alot of organelles to make it work properly because each organelle has a special function and without it the cell might crumble. Also that the cell membrane is probably the most important part of a cell because it hold every thing together.
If I had to do this project over again I would change how much time was spent on the project. For students next year I would recomend that you ind yourself a good partne and find time to work on it because, it takes alot of time and effort to put together a model and a collage. The three things I will not forget are the parts of a plant cell, parts of an animal cell, and the cell theory.
1. If I had to do this project over again, I would definitely set more time aside for it so I could have made a good song for the video instead of just talking, although it was pretty funny.
2. For any students next year, I would say make sure you put aside an ample amount of time for this project and make sure you know what you are talking about.
3. I will never forget most of the organelles and their functions because of all the analogies I've heard.
1) If I had to do the cell project over again I would do something more creative then a powerpoint.
2) I would tell them to do it on the plant cell. You can get bonus points for that. I would also tell them to make it as creative as possible and give as much information as you can.
3) I will never forget what the difference between an animal cell and plant is because we learned so much information on both. I wont forget that you can compare a cell to about anything, from a car to a city or school. I will also never forget John and Kourtney's rap. It was entertaining and very informative.
1. I would have rapped or did something funny.. haha
2. be creative, awesome, andd try to live up to the awesomest class ever! =)
3. i wont ever forget leah and lindsey's fashion show.. because it was hilarious.
i also wont ever forget what a golgi apparatus is because i had to make it and explain itt.
the final thing i wont ever forget is jennifer's amazingly long powerpoint! because it was awesome.
If i had to do this project again.
I'd prob start earlier and make it more creative and more informative.
Sommee Advice??
For one start early and make sure you have creative ideas. but make sure the idea you have isnt going to be too hard to make or get stuff for. Dont work with someone you will goof off with. Someone smart would be best! =)
Never Forget--
1. I will never forget what the organelles do. Like the nucleus (The boss) lol or the lysosome (breaks things down)
2.The funny songs (john && Kourts) videos ad presentations.
3. Everyone Rushing the first day the project was due to get everything ready and fixxed upp!
4. The similiarities and differences of the Animal && Plant cells!!
<3
1. I would probably start earlier so I had more time to work and could make my project better.
2. I would tell them to be creative with their project and really work on it.
3. I will always remember most of the organelles and thier functions bcause I heard all of it so much throughout class and during the project, especially the cell wall since I did my hangin of the organelles project on it.
1. If I had to do this project over I wouldn't make my structure out of playdough, because If when you let it dry, the playdough starts to tear apart.
2. I would recommend doing the plant cell, beacuse it has more organelles (BONUS POINTS).
3. I would never forget parts of the plant cell, the functions and my long powerpoint.
1. If I had to do the cell project over agian I would probably take more time on doing it with my partners.
2. I would tell them to make sure they have good detail for everything.
3. I would never forget John and Kourtney's rap to paper planes for the cell project because they gave great detail and made it fun. anither thing i will not forget Jenifer Kutek's long powerpoint presitation. And lastly Phil Gnus free styling his different acapella cell rap in front of the class.
1) If I had to do the project over again, I would make sure that I had all of the parts to the cell models.
2) I would tell them to work with someone that they know they can be creative with and to be extra creative.
3) I will never forget Elizabeth's cake because it looks really good. I will also never forget John and Kourt singing for their creative presentation because it was really creative.
1. I would have done a model of the plant cell to get bonus points. 2. Don't wait until the last minute. Do the plant cell for bonus points, and be creative. 3. I will not forget the enjoyment of rapping for the class, because I have never rapped before and it was fun. I won't forget Elizabeth's cooking show, because it was the most delicious looking cell I've ever seen. I will not forget Phill's rap, because it was creative and funny.
1. if i had to do this project again i wouldnt wait till the last second to do it.
2. if i had to give advice to the future 9th graders i would say make sure you know all the requirements and make sure you present it properly
3.the three things ill never forget from this project is goochiebyrd's rap, the parts of a cell, and the cell threory
1.If I had to do the cell project over again i would start it a little bit earlier and not wait until the weekend before the project is due to start it. My partner and i waited until the weekend before it was due and we worked at my house saturday, sunday, tuesday after school, and wednesday the day it was due before school. i would do it right after it was assigned.
2.I would say to just take your time so you dont have to rush at the last minute.
3. 1.uhh... phillip gnus's cell theory rap!!! hahaha lol
2.john and kourtney's paper planes rap haha. funny stuff!!!
3. and jenn's really long powerpoint!!! it was like 45 minutes!!! lol
Differently? Oh... I personally would work by myself. In winter, the roads become too difficult to drive along... and other people are hard to trust when it comes to work you cannot observe yourself... Meaning that, in turn, you would be better off doing a little less work... with a little more quality.
Anyone who is trying for this class next year... has a lot of hard work in front of them... meaning that they'll be in for some kind of surprise come th firs big assignment. This assignment, however, is basically more simple than one might have thought in the beginning. My advice is this, use your resources, and utilize the advantages that you get in your futuristic learning process. Because perhaps you'll have to do something more difficult than we, and perhaps that you'll end up doing something completely different... but stay strong. I admit, nothing in school is easy, as long as you don't at least give it a try. To fail the class, you must first inwardly fail yourself.
I believe that I have learned quite a lot of things about cells... but three things I shall never forget are... well, that cell membranes work more like a liquid then a solid, that the organelles of cell are like our own organs... and that when you are drawing a cell, do not write the name of it on the back by painting with your fingers.
1.I would have put more effort in this project.
2. Try to be as creative as you can you little freaky munchkins!!!
3. I think Jen set a reord for longest powerpoint. Phil wrote a cool rap and I invented a new biology edition of sorry.
1. I would probably make a bigger model or spend more time on the video
2. Be very crative and you dont have to spend a lot of money if any on the project, you can find things laying around the house.
3. i will never forget about most of the organelle, what they do, and if they are in plant cells or animal cell, from going over everything a lot and hearing it in these presentations i understand more about them then i though i would have.
1. if i had to do the cell project over again i would probably be more creative and spend more time on it. 2. i would tell them to think outside the box and be creative. I would also tell them to do the plant cell cuz you get more points.
3. i will never forget what each part of the cell looks like. Also i wont forget there function and structure. I also wont forget the difference between a plant cell and an animal cell. This project helped me alot with this unit.
1. If I could do the project again, I would probably spend more time on the video.
2. I would tell them to have fun and be creative.
3. I will never forget that cilia and flagella are not commonly found in a plant cell because we could not find an example, that plant cells are rectangle, and that chloroplasts are a plastid.
1. If i had to do this project over again i would most likely use more different materials than i used, and make my models more detailed.
2. If i was giving advice to someone for the project, i would tell them to be very creative and think outside of the box.
3. Three things i will never forget about the cells, is the song made by tiffany, and the functions for all the organelles, and the fashion show by lindsey and leah, that was priceless
1. if i had to redo this project i would probably use different materials.
2. the advice i would give to the kids for next year is be creative and take ur time and get alot of info.
3. i would never forget the song tiffany Z sang, functions of each organelles and the fashion show by lindsey and leah, that was great.
1. If could do this project over again i definitely not wait until the last minute to do it.
2. To get the best grade possible next year to not go all out price wise but creative wise go as far as you can go!
3. a) Cell Membrane - did organelle project on it
b) Lysosome - it is like a garbage can
c) Mitochrondia - has a lot of ATP like a power plant
[: [: [:
1. If I had to do this project over again i would put a lot more effort into it.
2. I would tell them to think outside the box and be very creative, do extra to get more points, but make the project fun!
3. I will never forget the difference between a plant and animal cell because I learned so much. I won't forget Leah and Lindsey's video because it was very funny, but it was also very interesting. And I will not forget the organelle's and their function.
1.) I would have made a model out of something more sturdy.
2.) I would tell them to go into a lot of detail and to be neat and not to forget to put anything. Also i would tell them to do the plat cell to get extra points.
3.) I will never forget that a plant cell has only one large vacuole and an animal cell has many small vacuoles.
I will also never forget that that ribosomes are the most numerous organelle and that they make protein. i won forget this because i thought i think they re s small it would take a lot of them to make all the protein needed.
The last thing about cells that i will never forget is that plant cells have a cell wall and animal cell won't. i will never forget this because i have heard it said o many times.
1.) If i had to do this all over again i would use something a little more creative then a foam ball.
2.) I would tell the student that they should do the project creative. They shouldn't wait till the last minute to do it.
3.) I woud remember ribosomes, lysomes, and mitochondria. I would remember ribosomes because it took me forever to stick the little red sequences on the foam ball. I would remember lysomes because of the fact we took a picture of my toilet for the power point we did. I would remember mitochondria because of the energizer bunny cause they both produce energy
If I had the chance to redo this assignment I would start early!
For the lowerclassmen, i would tell them to start way early, and know what your going to use.
I will never forget the organelles and their functions.
1. If i had to do a project over again i would try to have a little bit more time.
2. Buy your supplies early and don't put the project off.
3. I will always remember the names of the organelles because of the funny vid we made
If I had to do this project again I would start sooner so the overall project would be better. Any student taking this course next year should have fun while ding the creative part of the project. I will never forget what the organelles look like, putting string on my cat while making the model, or Kourtney and John's song.
1. If i had to honestly do this project over agian, i wouldn't make any model out of jello.
2. For students next year i would say try to think of really unque ways to think of making your cell. Also dont use jello.
3.I probilly wont forget any of them. I must say i do love learning about cells and i dont know why.
1.if i had to do the cell project over again i would use more information about the cell on my collage and make up a poem
2.to start sooner andwork hard on it
3.i will never forget what i named my two organelles and the reason why i named them that
written by summer stoken
1. If I had to do this project again, I would definitely not work on it a whole day straight, I would of rather work on it a little everyday, but with the busy schedules it's almost impossible to not work on it a whole day.
2.For the students next year, I would suggest you guys work with people who want to get the job done, and have fun with the project, be creative, add lots of color and brightness. MAKE SURE NOT TO FORGET ANY OF THE ORGANELLES!!!
but most of all, make sure you know what your saying, and make sure everything makes sense before you present it.
OH YEAH....
DO NOT NOT NOT USE SCOTCH TAPE!!! :)
3. The thing I won't forget is the differences and similarities between plant and animal cells.
-Stephanie Beregi
1. If i had to redo my cell project i would put more effort into my poem because it was too short. Also i would put all the organelles on my collage.
2. For the students who do this project next year, i would say be original and be creative, that would get you more points on your grade. And also don't use food because usually it goes bad if you dont present right away.
3. I will never forget the difference between a nucleus and nucleolus. And i wont forget the differences between plant and animal cells. Last, i wont forget the mitochondria is to produce energy.
